Infinity Note 2nd major update!

August 17th, 2011

Hello, a new version of Infinity Note was released today.  One new feature is multi-select, which also allows cut, copy and paste.

To Multi-select:

  • hold 1 finger on the screen very still.  The phone will vibrate a little and show a white circle under your finger if you did it right.  Then whatever lines you draw will select what they touch or wrap around.  The selected lines glow a different color.
  • To de-select or exit back to where you start, just click in an empty space.

To Copy:(2 ways)

  • One is, simply click a line.  And it is copied.
  • The other is select multiple lines then click the circle 1 time.

To Cut:(2 ways)

  • Do the previous steps respectively. and each case just press the line or circle again.  There will be a “throw away” sound and your lines will disappear.

To Paste:

  • Tap the screen (touch but don’t move) with 2 fingers.   The screen will then change to grey and you will see what you copied.  There is also a black dot.  Click that to paste back to the black space.   If you hold your finger on it, you can paste but you will remain in the grey space.

You can Rotate what you copied:

  • From the grey space, just swipe 1  finger around and your copied lines will rotate.

You can change the colors of lines you drew:

  • Simply select a line or lines and choose “Pick a Color” from the options menu (it’s usually a 3 little line button).

Other than these user features.  There have been many improvements to the program itself so it runs better.  It’s been made to render lines more simply when you move around so it doesn’t slow you down.

Infinity Note updated info

April 30th, 2011

Hello, infinity note has 2 versions, a free and premium one.  Both versions are about in their 8th revision.

Both versions let you:

  • Nearly infinite space to write / draw in
  • Export to SD card
  • Share an image of the on-screen with a variety of services; Twitter, SMS, Facebook, etc.
  • Save image of screen to a image file (JPG)

The differences between the free and premium versions are:

  • Free vs.  only 1.50$
  • Ads vs. No Ads
  • Single space to work in vs. Multiple files to save to
  • Not fullscreen vs.  Fullscreen can be turned off and on
  • Only exports the default file to SD card vs. Exports any file and imports any file  to and from SD card

Issues at the moment I am aware of and some things you can do about them:

  • Evernote says you need a premium account to share images from infinity note with it, a way around that for now is if you export to the Android gallery, and then share with Evernote…it works.  It should work that way in infinity note too…not sure yet why it doesn’t.  I intend to fix that
  • My logo looks like a penis (I am not sure this is really a problem, but..)…well, I’ve been told that.  It wasn’t intended to be that way, and being that it’s green I didn’t feel it bore much resemblance to one…but if others feel it is inappropriate then I will alter it.
  • Premium version has a hard to reproduce error where the loading dialog won’t go away.  A work around is to go into application settings and manually force it close.  Then when you start it up again it is normal.

Thank you all for the comments about the program.  May it be useful to you! (^.^)/

Infinity Note – multiple files update

March 6th, 2011

Hello, I am at work on adding the ability to edit multiple files inside Infinity Note.  Also, the program can export and import files with the SD card so that files can be shared or saved as one upgrades from the free version to pay.

The free version will only have the ability to export and import to SD card.

There are a few of improvements across both versions.  One is the little pink dots are gone.  The other is it remembers the color you last used to draw with.  The compatibility with devices other than Nexus One has been expanded.  The line thickness was too much on smaller screen devices, that has been adjusted.

The premium version will be released and the free version updated this week.

Enjoy

Infinity Note – Android OS and phones

October 21st, 2010

I released an update yesterday to allow single touch phones to work with my program.  There were still reports of errors though.

I was thinking that if a phone doesn’t have multi-touch it will at least have some kind of 5 way direction device like a trackball or a direction pad.  Some do not.

There are phones without a direction device or multi-touch; who run Android.  To those that do…I am sorry.  The app will simply not work as intended for you, for the moment.

In time, I may release an update so it will work with such devices.

Thank you for your time and consideration. (-.-)

Infinity Note FREE update 2

October 20th, 2010

Today I released an update to Infinity Note FREE.  These are the changes:

*Single touch phones can now be used with it.

*To Pan: for single touch, hold center direction button while you draw on the screen.

*To Zoom: for single touch, roll the track ball or press the direction arrows.

*The single touch controls work for multi-touch too.

*You may find it’s easier to select.

*You may find it’s harder to make accidental little marks when you tap.

Thank you everyone (^<^)/

I’m grateful to have gotten such a good response.

Infinity Note – Notes about the program

October 15th, 2010

I got my first email today about my program.  It seems it just crashes on non multi-touch phones, like HTC Tattoo.  I’ve been thinking about amending my program so it can run on single touch phones.  Still thinking about it though.

Also my first comment ever 5 star (Yay!) it seems the multi-touch on some phones is a little jerky like on mine too (I have a HTC Nexus One).  There’s a snapping that happens when your fingers are too close together.  It’s a little annoying, but of course just keep your fingers further apart and it’s fine.

Still, I’m grateful for the feed back thank you everyone (^<^)/

Infinity Note

October 13th, 2010

Today I released my second Android app to the market.  I am happy about it, but enough about me. (^^)

Infinity Note is a simple note taking program.  With one finger, you can write.  With two you can zoom and slide yourself around the space, and then with one you can write some more.  If you tap on a line it lights up; tap it again and it will disappear.

That’s all there is to it.   It’s designed for multi-touch phones.  (And at the moment it only runs on them.)  Today’s version is free and simple.  It does basically what I want it to do.  I use it.  I love it.  There will be a pay version in the future that will have more features (multiple saves, changing the default color, making the app accessible in the window-shade, etc.)  Today’s version will stay the same, forever.  Unless a catastrophic bug is discovered, then it’ll get fixed.

If you’ve an Android phone, please play with Infinity Note and see if it’s useful for you (^^)/

1, 2, 3000 Kanji

September 30th, 2010

I’ve been teaching myself Japanese for awhile and learning to program my Android OS phone.  Today I released to the Android market an app called “1, 2, 3000 kanji”.  It is free to download.  It is a simple list of kanji that are used the most.  Each entry has something in English to express what it’s root meaning is.  Let me know how well it works for you.

I’ve been enjoying taking picutres

April 1st, 2010

Among other things, so I haven’t done much with this space.   I’ve been enjoying photography.  The pictures are over here.  http://picasaweb.google.com/0unmodify
